My father is looking for a recipe for what he calls "borachinos". His mother made them for him when he was a child. It sounds like some sort of fried dough soaked in milk. Anyone ever heard of these?

Thank you for the recipe. I found this site searching for Spanish recipes and boy is it bringing back great memories. My Grandmother made these loaves at Easter time and would shape them into crosses before baking.

Vickie, I read your post on the Asturian Migration website where you mentioned my great grandparents Maria Cueto Yglesias and Marcelino Yglesias. Glad I found this website! In St. Louis Missouri (Carondelet neighborhood) there is a organization called the Spanish Society (Sociedad Espanola).
