Hello, my family is from the Aviles area. My grandfather's family is from Verdicio, and my granmother's is from Salinas. My Grandfather's family settled in DePue, IL, and my grandmother's nearby in LaSalle, IL. There are still a lot of us in central Illinois. We also have family around Aviles that we keep in touch with. In fact, my aunt, uncle, cousin, and great uncle are there now visiting. I hope to visit in the near future. My Spanish is not great, but I am working on it.

I really enjoy the forums on this website. It is a great resource and look forward to continued use.

Hola, mi familia es de la zona de Avilés. La familia de mi abuelo era de Verdiciu y la de mi abuela de Salinas. La familia de mi abuelo se estableció en DePue, Illinois y la de mi abuela en la cercana La Salle, IL. Todavía quedamos unos cuantos en la zona central de Illinois.
