La familia CABO (de Riosa, Asturias) en Clarksburg WV

Is anyone familiar with the Cabo family that came from Riosa to Clarksburg WV in the early 20th century?

thanks for the reply. i am looking for information on an individual who recently died by the name of Benjamin Cabo, and also about the family in general. Benjamin lived in Palmer, AK, until his death. Do you know much about the family? I have gathered that most of the Cabo's lived at PK...there may have been two brothers, Frank and Joe, who came from Spain to WV. Would really like to get some info, or see some family pictures. Is Manuel still living? thanks again!

I should have said that I knew Manuel Cabo. He was a good man. That name Benjamin sounds like a name that I should know. Manuel and my mother grew up together in Anmoore WV. I think that Manuel still has family here. It could be the same family. I will get back to you.

I just called Manuel's son. Benjamin was his Uncle. Gary said that he is going to get a cousin to respond to your questions. I hope that I helped you in finding your family.

Yes, I carry cards with me. When I give someone a card they say, "Who are the people in the photo on your card?" Well, that's all I need to talk up AsturiasUS and, Art, they do ask about the title also!

I don't remember if I ever asked you....

I had an Aunt and Uncle in Anmoore (Grassellli) their names were
Angel and Luz Gonzalez. Luz was my Father's sister and his name was Julius Garcia Alonso. They had 5 children...Angel, Matteo, Luz, Anita and Marina.

Do you remember them. Angel and Luz have been gone many years...one of their sons moved to Detroit to work in the Auto Industry...I think his name was Matteo...they had nicknames so its hard for me to remember his given name...nickname was Jessie. He died quite some time ago.

The other son Angel...we called him Chuch...stayed in Grasselli...He served in World War II. He his wife and daughter met an untimely death also quite some time ago. I am wondering if you read about this in the newspapers.

Anita moved to Ner Jersey...Marina moved to Detroit and Luz moved to Ohio. As far as I know...Luz who we called Baba is the only one left.

I would be interested in knowing if you knew them.

I do recall hearing all of the names but I didn't know them. At the times that we went to Anmoore it was to visit my cousins. I could have heard the names in the conversation that they were having. I would go find some of the kids that I know and play baseball.
