EU citizenship

It is known that if your grandparents were from Spain, you can obtain an EU Citizenship. How can I do this?!?

I think you need citizenship in any one of the EU nations, which confers the right to move and work freely throughout the union.

Because my great grandparents were from Asturias, am I applicable for Spanish citizenship?

Yes, but there is a residency requirement. As far as I know, it has not been affected the the recent (December 2007) change in the lpaw.

From my reading of the law, I'm not sure that all grandchildren will be eligible. It'll be interesting to see the final regulations.

Dado lo que veo en la ley, no estoy seguro de que todos los nietos va a ser elegibles. Será interesante ver los reglamentos definitivos.

The separation of the law from the regulations concerning the law is fairly common with legislation in los EEUU too. The Americans with Disabilities Act, for example, contains explicit references to regulations to be drafted by a government agency in the near future.
