Descendants of Thomas Alvarez of St. Louis

I am trying to trace my grandmother's family. Her maiden name is Elvira Alvarez and was married to Francisco Montequin. I am trying to research her family.

When my grandmother passed away in 1950, Thomas and his wife, Soledad, and their children came to Pennsylvania to attend her funeral so I suspect a family relation.

Manuel Alvarez and Nick Garcia, also from St. Louis, were pallbearers and suspect they also are related.

I would be very interested in making contact with members of the family to see if we can identify their connection to my grandmother and perhaps provide a lead to her family.
