picadiellu - ground pork - picadillo

picadiellu: pronounced pee-kah-DEEAY-you. Ground, finely chopped pork used to make sausages. It is seasoned with pimenton (paprika), garlic and salt. Picadiellu can also be eaten on its own, often topped with fried eggs or accompanied by French fries.

Usage examples:

Los tortos de maiz acompanganse bien con picadiellu, guevos o morciella. [Cornmeal breads go well with picadiellu, eggs and blood sausage]

Los clasicos de los chigres tan toos ricos (chipirones, tortos con picadiellu y cabrales). [All the cider tavern fare is good: fried squid, cornmeal breads with picadiellu and cabrales cheese]

La cocina d´estes fiestes tien como pegoyu o platu principal el gochu en toles sos variantes: picadiellu, butiellu y pote d´antroxu. [Typical food for Asturian antroxu or antroiro is usually based on an assortment of pork dishes: picadiellu, butiellu and antroxu stew]
