Asturias's rivers are known for their excellent wild salmon, which reaches exorbitant prices when salmon season starts. The first salmon of this season, "el Campanu" (the "bell-ringer") was caught in the Eo River, weighed 3,7 kg and the bait used was shrimp. It was sold to the restaurant "Casa Tista" near Ribadesella for 12.000 EUR (yes, twelve thousand Euros)!
Tista obviously invited his most loyal customers to sample it for free.

La verdad es que me es bastante raro que saliese del Eo. La mayor parte de ellos suelen salir del Narcea y ser subastados en el restaurante Casino de Cornellana.

Eso sí. Efectivamente, los precios de estos salmones son tremendos, también se puede deber a que el salmón salvaje es escasísimo en todo el país y nosotros tenemos la mayor parte.
