Thanks for alerting folks, Ron.

They´ll be using a few photos from forum members. The text is by Luis Argeo, who did the AsturianUS documentary.

I think you have to subscribe to receive a copy.

Just read the article in WV Goldenseal magazine about the spanish
of WV, in Clarksburg.
It was a great story and wonderful pictures of Fernandez families.
My grandparents, Adelino and Adelina Montes lived in
Clarksburg, WV until 1916, then moving to Moundsville, WV.
I was able to purchase the magazine locally.

The website of West Virginia's Goldenseal magazine (which is ably edited by John Lilly) is

http://www.wvculture.org/goldenseal/

Subscriptions and back issue available. I subscribe and find it very worthwhile.

I purchased the Goldenseal magazine from the mound museum in
Moundsville, WV. I don't know how many copies they have.

I asked John Lilly about buying copies. Here's his reply:
Additional copies are available by e-mailing goldenseal [contact Art for the address] or phoning (304)558-0220 ext. 153.

They sell for $4.95, plus shipping. Orders of 10 or more are available at half price.

Please pass the word that we welcome “Letters to the Editor.” It would be nice to get a few notes about this story in time for the next issue.
It would be great if members would write a letter about their Asturian family's experience in WV!
