Giant Squids found in Asturian coast

Post by Mouguias »

I am quite surprised that no one has yet mentioned giant squids in the forum, they are quite a fashionable topic in Asturias lately.
Last year quite a lot of giant squids have been found along our coast, especially in Luarca.
You can see a couple of articles on this, along with pics. I think only here, and in New Zealand, you can find these creatures. Am I wrong?

Hi Mouguias, this summer I spent a few days in southern France and I was lucky to see a small display of a few giant squids in Biarritz. Funny thing was most of them where from the "Fosa de Carrandi", right in front of Cudillero.

Little correction here, guys - the Carrandi I know, after which the famous ocean trough is named, is in Colunga, not in Cudillero.

Una pequeña corrección, chicos - El Carrandi que yo conozco, y que da nombre al fomoso caladero, es de Colunga no de Cudillero.
