Does anyone know what happened to Leopoldo Menendez, b. 25 Sep 1897, son of Sabino Menendez and Josefa Artimez? He appears on the 1910 census and there is a Draft registration for him in 1918 and then he disappears. Did he die, run away, go back to Spain?

Also, did the families make trips regularly back to Spain? It seems like a big expense of time and money to make that trip.
