The recent finding that some beef cattle in the US were afflicted with mad cow disease (BSE - bovine spongiform encepalopathy), and the lack of regulations that could have prevented the the disease from entering the American beef supply have made me curious about the situation in Asturias and the rest of Spain. If anyone knows what protective legislation or regulations have been put in place there, I would appreciate your posting the information here.
