My next online project after the Phoenician research is to study the Asturian King list starting with the first, Pelagius aka Pelayo. He reigned from 714-737. His capital was Cangas de Onis. Evidently, he was chosen to be king because of the victory in battle at Cova Dunga where the Asturians received Devine help from Mary.
Someone wrote that the Asturian Kings were among the first in Europe. I have not been able to find that information again.
I think that this project is a good use of my time while we shelter-in-place during the pandemic.
I would hope that DNA will find some living relatives of King Pelayo. There are many amazing discoveries awaiting to be found in Asturias and Spain.
