Update: Notes for photos.
In the first photo my father, Arsenio Alvarez, is on the left wearing a light shirt and trousers. The jockey is not related to our family.
In the second photo, my late and only sister, Helene, and brother, Michael age 11 are pictured. My sister is on Michael's left. My mother was there that night but could not come down due to cancer. I was home sick with the flu. The jockey was from Cuba.
These racing photos are the only ones we have that feature family.
My father did not like to have his picture taken for some reason known only to him.
We do not have any of the Oriental Racetrack wins in Cuba. Our cousins in Cuba may have some of them.
