And also if anyone knows what "denomar" means in Asturian ^^

Thanks

I'm unaware of any English/Asturian dictionary. All of mine are either monolingal Asturian (DALLA) or bilingal asturianu and castellano. None of the ones I have here list "denomar" as an entry. I can't check my DALLA until I return to Rockport.

Hi,

"Denomar" is an Asturian verb, composed of the Latin particle "de" plus another verb, "nomar", that means "to call in any way someone or something, to impose a name". The "de" particle is only a reinforcement, as in the Spanish couple MOSTRAR/DEMOSTRAR. "Denomar" and "nomar" are synonymous and equally valid in Asturian, both based and derivated from the substantive NOME = NAME.

How about to create here an Asturian-English/English-Asturian dictionnary?

Cheers 8)

I like the idea of creating an Asturian/English dictionary, but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions?
