An interesting site with information on the frequency of various Spanish surnames, including a breakdown by province (en castellano).

That's an interesting site, Bob! Every now and then our INE (National Institute of Statistics) publishes amazing data. In this case I couldn't help chuckling when I read that the most frequent surname in the "Superbasque" province of Biscay is - no more and no less - MORENO!
The Asturian surname ALLER is more frequent in León, than in Asturias!
Statistics are great stuff!

Qué página tan interesante, Bob! Nuestro Instituto Nacional de Estadística a veces publica datos sorprendentes. En este caso no pude evitar reirme para mis adentros cuando leí que el apellido más frecuente el la provincia supervasca de Vizcaya es - ni más ni menos - MORENO!
El apellido asturiano ALLER es más frecuente en León que en Asturias!
Las estadísticas son estupendas!
