Those are some awsome photos, Mafalda! Lately, since almost everybody has a digital camera, there are very high impact images of gale storms in Asturias, taken any time and even in remote areas.
If you noticed, the photos of LNE's gallery have all been sent in by readers.

Mafalda, the photos are beautiful. Whichever of your kids or their partners who made the photos have a good sense of beauty and visual rhythym (the umbrella photo, for example).
The sea urchins (orizios, erizos) reminds me of a story my uncle tells about visiting Asturias with my grandfather. While they were talking on the beach near La Peñona, my grandfather scooped some up, broke one open and offered the roe to my uncle, very excited to have rediscovered what he ate in in youth (He left Salinas for the EEUU in 1913).
I noticed there were two colors of sea urchin, green and purple. Are they the same species? More importantly, do they taste the same?

Oricios

Ron: Certainly, the photo of the sunshades [umbrellas] is also my favorite, and was taken by my son's fiancee, I'll let her know what you think. There are two colors of sea urchin in the photos, as you said, but I think there are at least two others: jet black and greyish, I think they are all the same species, to me, at least they are equally delicious. , They are a flavorful dish, raw, cooked, the caviar of seas urchins, scrambled with eggs...mmm...¡how good!
