Searching for Rendueles Vega family

I am searching for my father's family. My grandfather is listed as Jose (Joe) Rendueles Vega on his birth certificate. He would have been born around 1889 in Spain. I believe I have traced him from Spain to Cuba, from Cuba to Florida. Somehow he ended up in San Francisco for a period of about 2-3 years(1915-1918) and then left for Florida. He was a cigar maker and I have placed him in Hillsbourgh County, Fl. in the 1930's. I have spoken with a professor at the Univ. of Oviedo, whom I thought may be related. Unfortunately he was not, however said he could be sure that my grandfather and family came from either Giron or Villaviciosa and the name Rendueles is not very common. I am not sure where to go from here, can you offer some suggestions?

Estoy buscando para a familia de mi padre. Enumeran a mi abuelo como Jose (Joe) Rendueles Vega en su partida de nacimiento. Él habría sido alrededor 1889 nato en España. Creo que lo he remontado de España a Cuba, de Cuba a la Florida. My last name is Rendueles, too, and I am from Cabranes, although I am currently living at Seattle.

The place where there are more people with this last name is Gijon, so you should try to begin for looking at the register of births from the city council.
