Yes, I definitely did. I got to meet all my great-grandfather's surviving relatives, which was two or three generations. They took us out to eat and showed us around for two days. We even stayed with them. It was a great time.

I'm so glad to hear that. It's amazing to meet people who we are connected to from several generations back and still feel a strong connection.
I'm half-joking and half-serious, but are you planning a return visit?

Exactly, the feeling of belonging there is intense. It's odd to me that we can feel that even several generations after the immigration.

I'm planning to revisit Asturias in 2015, probably for two weeks, this time with Meredythe. Once you have been there and found family homes, relatives, and long-dead ancestors' graves, it's impossible not to to want to return.
