Gay marriage

Post by Bob »

I'm curious abut what our American and Asturian members (as well as those in other countries) think about Spain's recent approval of gay marriage.

Bob, we already had a thread on this, but I would sum it up in the words of our very competent and authoritarian Vice President, Maria Teresa Fernández de la Vega ( a great character and something like ""Frau Blucher" in Mel Brooks's "Young Doctor Frankenstein"):

"It's not about taking anything away from anybody or making people do what they don't want to do, it's about giving some persons the rights they didn't have until now."

By the way, the Government is planning to launch a summer tourist campaign under the motto: "Smile! You are in Spain."
