Obaya Family - La familia Obaya

I am looking for information on my ancestors that came over from Asturias and/or Villaviciosa, Spain in the late 1800's.

This is what I know. Luciano Obaya came to San Antonio by way of VeraCruz, Mexico around 1898. He arrived in San Antonio in 1900/01. He had a brother that either came with him or arrived after Luciano was in San Antonio. His brother's name was Fernando. Luciano and Fernando's mother's name was Genara Cueto.

Any information anyone might have on the Obaya family would be greatly appreciated.

Esto es lo que sé. Luciano Obaya vino a San Antonio pasando por VeraCruz, México alrededor de 1898. Llegó a San Antonio en 1900/01. Tenía un hermano que vino con él o llegó después de que Luciano estaba en San Antonio. El nombre de su hermano era Fernando. Luciano y el nombre de la madre de Fernando eran Genara Cueto.

Cualquier información que alguien podría tener sobre la familia Obaya sería enormemente apreciada.

As you probably know, Villaviciosa is a town in Asturias.
You can see the results of one search with this link for Obaya (Primer apellido) in Asturias (Provincia) and Villaviciosa (Localidad).

With that search I found 21 listings of people who have Obaya for their primer apellido (first last name or first surname). You could try that for the Segundo apellido (second last name or surname), too.

Then I'd write to some or all of these people to see what they know. Many Asturian families are very aware that some members of the family left for the new world and would be happy to hear from you.

Seria interesante saber en que lugar exacto, pueblo o parroquia del Concejo ( Municipio ) de Villaviciosa nació tu antepasado, pues podria ayudarnos a entre todos darte mas información.
Yo soy del Concejo de Villaviciosa y es cierto que en dicho concejo hay muchas personas que se apellidan Obaya, incluso hay un pequeño pueblecito que se llama asi.
