Victor Gonzalez was born February 8, 1925 in Anmoore, West Virginia, where he remained a lifelong resident. Victor was the seventh child born to Consuelo Rodriquez Gonzalez and Manual Gonzalez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Gonzalez and Nita Muniz, and two brothers, Joe and Augustine Gonzalez. Victor is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Nelson (Mary) Bauld and Mrs Chester (Connie) Kempczenski.
We will miss Victor, and Delfina Fernandez, Josephine Alvarez, and all the ones who are no longer with us. The Asturian community is saddened. We are growing smaller every year.

The Asturian Community of Spelter Growing Smaller Every Year
Mildred Alvarez, 88 of Spelter, WV, departed this life Monday, Nov 6, 2006, following a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late Manuel Alvarez and Maria (Gonzalez) Alvarez. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Alvarez and her brother Manuel Alvarez Jr.
She is most remembered with, her sister Josephine, for their smoked Spanish sausage. She was self employed as a beautician for 50 years.
Mildred was a member of St Ann's Catholic Church in Shinnston WV. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Nov 8, 2006.
