Probablemente "Oviedo" refiere a la provincia/principalidad: Asturias. Se cambia el nombre del provincia después de 1985 (no recuerdo cuándo).

¿Cree Ud. que era natural de Llanes?

¿Dónde encontró la partida de nacimiento durante su visita allí? Seguramente sería la misma oficina en que tiene que pedir una copia ahora.

"Oviedo" may refer to the province/principality: Asturias. The provincial name was changed to "Asturias" sometime after 1985 (I'm not sure when).

Do you think he was from Llanes?

Where did you obtain the birth certificate when you visited Asturias? That's probably the same place you need to ask now.
