My hubby is beside himself with the whole Formula 1 row: there clearly has been a conspiration at McLaren against Alonso from day one, everything was set up from the start to get him out of the way and make Lewis Hamilton world champion, Hamilton's f----- father is worse than the ever-present mother of Andalusian singer Isabel Pantoja, and so on, in short - he's driving me crazy!
But then again, when you read English papers, they all, without exception, fall all over themselves praising this cute kid Lewis Hamilton, Anthony's son, you know, who's such a darling and the whole country worships him. The "baddie" (despite being the victim) is always Alonso.
The Spanish press, however, doesn't much care about Alonso. Alright, he is a little crabby, but the fact is that people in this country are frigging jealous of everyone who's successful, and regardless whether you like or dislike Alonso, he is in the right and shouldn't be attacked here too.
Here's an example of an article on Lewis Hamilton, the cutey-pie
