LoginHello, my name is Luis Ernesto Santurio, I live in Maryland USA and would like to know somebody with the same last name. My branch of the family came to Uruguay from Italy at the end of the Second World War. I did not know the Santurio name was from Asturias.
I speak Spanish and Italian but not astirian. Thanks in advance for any contact or information. My grandfather was Luis Manuel Santurio. I came to this country in early 1967.

Hola, mi nombre es Luis Ernesto Santurio. Vivo en Maryland U S A y me gustaria conocer a alguien con el mismo apellido. Mi rama de la familia llego a Uruguay de Italia al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. No sabia que el nombre Santurio provenia de Asturias
Hablo español e italiano pero no asturiano. Gracias de antemano por cualquier contacto o informacion. Mi abuelo se llamaba Luis Manuel Santurio y yo llegue a este pais en los primeros meses del año 1967.

Since you're in Maryland, I should invite you to participate in our Asturian booth at several regional Celtic music festivals. One of our members, Alfonso Diaz and several others from the area spend the day answering questions about Asturias and enjoying each others' company. It's fun. We'll be announcing a couple of dates soon, I think.

El apellido Santurio es de Gijón (Santurio es una parroquia rural del municipio de Gijón) y creo que ha hemos tenido otros Santurio en este foro. Hecha un vistazo con la herramienta "search".

The surname Santurio is from Gijón (Santurio is a rural parish in County Gijòn) and I believe we have had aother Santurios looking for their origins in this forum. Take a look using the "search" botton.
