One of the few lullabyes I know has the following lyrics (with apologies for the rough and ready translation):
Nun Llores Nin
Duérmite, neñin del alma, ( Sleep, little boy of my soul,)
duerme que te velo yo, (sleep, I will watch over you),
Dios te dea muncha ventura, (God will give you much happiness)
nesti mundu engañador. (in this deceitful world).
Nun llores, nin, (Don't cry, no),
nun llores, non, (don't cry, no),
duermi que te velo yo. (Sleep, I will watch over you.)
Tengo'l mio Xuan ena cama, (I have my John in the bed,)
güei galán yá nun pue ser, (today he cannot be gallant),
duérmite neñin del alma, (sleep, little boy of my soul),
vuelvi mañana a les tres. (tomorrow will come at three).
Nun llores, nin,,
nun llores, non,,
qu'abondo lo siento yo..
