University of Virginia Library historical census browser

Post by Manuell Alvarez »

Hola Amigos,

The University of Virginia Library has a historical census browser resource for anyone who wants to find the number of people recorded in the U. S. Census as being born in Spain state by state.

It may prove useful in helping to find the number of Spanish immigrants for any given census year. I looked at years 1900; 1910; 1920; 1930; and 1940. For the year 1920, there were only seventeen states which had Spanish immigrants.

Hopefully, someone conducting research will find this site helpful. One can also bring up a map of each state location.

Just enter University of Virginia Library Historical Census Browser in the search box.

Manny
