Hola Amigos, I thought this feat was worthy of a posting and a trip to Spain:
According to an article on the internet, the largest Paella in the world was made in Madrid on October 2, 2001, and the pan measued approximately 69 feet in dia., and weighed 32 tons. It reportedly fed 110,000 people, and a 250 ton crane was used to lift this large metal creation. It also appears that the cooks utilized a crane to stir the paella. The Madrid police and fire brigade along with the Spanish army distributed the dish to the crowd, and the remaining Paella was sent to various charities.
