Josephine Garcia Fernandez

BRIDGEPORT — Josephine Garcia Fernandez, 87, of Boca Raton and formerly of Anmoore, passed away Sunday morning, December 18, 2011.

She was born in Anmoore on April 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Jose and Delphina Fernandez Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman Fernandez, in 1987. They were married September 8, 1946.

Surviving are her brother, Joe J. Garcia, Boca Raton, FL; and a niece Christen Garcia-Bauer, Irvine, CA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Garcia.

Josephine was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She had worked at Freidlanders for over 35 years. She enjoyed bingo and TV game shows.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday, December 22, 2011, from 9-11 a.m., where Catholic Burial Rites will be held at 11 a.m. with Father Harry Cramer presiding. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
