Presentación oficial del II Salón Internacional de les Sidres de Gala

"La sidre ye un productu con abonda entidá propia y calidá como pa ser la protagonista nos eventos, brindis y cellebraciones. Nun tamos d'alcuerdu na so promoción comu la hermana menor del cava o'l vinu que se fae dende otros sectores."

La sala de conferencies del Antiguu Istitutu de Xovellanos acoyó esta mañana la presentación oficial del II Salón Internacional de les Sidres de Gala. La rueda de prensa, abierta por Xosé Nel Riesgo desveló non solo'l programa oficial del eventu –a cellebrase los prósimos díes 26 y 27 d'ochobre- sinon que desplicó a los presentes les cualidaes d'estes sidres; nesti puntu el direutor de la Fundación Municipal de Cultura nun duldó en remarcar los beneficios de les mesmes tanto pa la so salú presonal, como pa la economía y la cultura asturiana. En tou momentu abogó pol espardimientu d'estes sidres hermanes de la tradicional, alcontrando qu'esti II Salón ye un bon escaparate pa dales a conocer tanto pente los profesionales profesionales del sector como pente'l públicu en xeneral.

Pel so llau, Llucía Fernández Marqués, representante de la Fundación Asturies XXI, detalló'l programa del Salón; nel mesmu, sedrán dellos los llagareros qu'aprofitarán pa presentar los sos nueos productos, comu la Sidre Esplumoso de la recién estrenada marca Orbayu o la escaecía y recientemente rescatada perea -sidre de pera-, productu de Viuda de Angelón.

Otru puntu fuerte sedrán les presentaciones de Sidre de Xelu; contaráse cola presencia de los tres productores asturianos: Orbayu, Grupo Massaveu (Valverán) y Sidra Pomar. Comu l' añu anterior, habrá una amplia presencia de sidre internacional.

En pallabres de Llucía Fernández, esti Salón nun se paez a dengún otru eventu sidreru asturianu, averándose más a los actos internacionales.

Official presentation of the II International Exhibition of Gala Ciders

"Cider is a product with enough entity and presence as to be the protagonist of events, toasts and celebrations. We do not agree with its promotion as the little sister of the "cava" or the wine that is made from other sectors.".

The conference room of the Former Xovellanos Institute hosted this mornign the official presentation of the II International Exhibition of Gala Ciders. The press conference, opened by Xosé Nel Riesgo revealed not just the official schedule of the event -to be celebrated on next 26th and 27th of October- but also explained to the people present the qualities of these ciders. In this point, the director of the Municipal Foundation of Culture did not doubt to highlight their benefits both for the personal health and for the Asturian economy and culture. He strongly stated for the spreading of these ciders, sisters of the traditional one, finding in the context of the II Exhibition a good frame to give them to know both among professionals of the sector and for the general public.

On her side, Llucía Fernández Marqués, representative of the Asturies XXI Foundation, explained the schedule of the event: on it there will be several cidermakers who will take the chance to present their new products, like the Sparkling Cider of the new brand Orbayu or the forgotten and recently recovered "perea" -perry cider- product of Viuda de Angelón.

Another strong part of the event will be the presentations of the Ice Cider: we will count with the presence of three Asturian producers: Orbayu, Grupo Massaveu (Valverán) and Sidra Pomar. Like the previous year, there will be a great presence of international cider.

In words of Llucía Fernández, this event is different to any other Asturian cider event , being closer to the international events.
