1600s Migration from Oviedo to Nueva Espana (Mexico)

I've seen some links to ship passenger lists but none seem to go back to the 1600s. Does anyone know where I might look? My ancestor Jose Luis Ruiz de Valdes was born in Oviedo in 1664 and likely left for Mexico sometime between 1679-1689. He married in 1690 in Ciudad de Mexico and migrated to New Mexico in the mid 1690s. Thanks. - Mica

Gregorio Ruiz de Valdés, natural de Cisneros (León), hijo de
Gregorio Ruiz de Valdés y de María de Posurama

Perhaps you can find information of your relative.
