According to an article on the internet, up to 50% of the men in western Europe are related to King Tut. Here is an excerpt form the article:
The results showed that King Tut belonged to a genetic profile group, known as haplogroup R1b1a2, to which more than 50 percent of all men in Western Europe belong, indicating that they share a common ancestor.
It is believe that the R1b gene traveled to Egypt by the survivors of the city of Atlantis which is thought to have been located in the Donana National Park some 13 meters under ground. Spanish scientists and the National Geographical Society have recently found artifacts that indicate that an ancient and advanced civilization was there some 6500 years ago that was neither Roman or Greek. Donana was thought to be an inland sea where the city of Atlantis once disappeared by sinking into the sea after several catastrophes.
King Tut may have many cousins in Asturias and around the world. It would be nice to know if we are related.
