Medieval instruments in the Asturian folk music

The Asturian bagpipe is the instrument largely most known (and played) of our traditional music, but not the only one, far from it. Another instrument is the rebec or, since it is called in Asturies, the "bandurria" (nothing to see with the instrument that receives in Spanish the same name). Here I place a link towards a Portuguese web page that speaks about this instrument. There is an article in two versions: in Asturian and in Portuguese, and the page offers the possibility of translation to English with Altavista, but I must warn to you that the result is very wrong. Maybe some member of the forum encourages to translate it in a correct English (or at least understandable )
In the article several pics are published, and also you can download three sound archives, so that you can listen how it sounds this instrument. Enjoy it!
