Just thought you might like to have a look at these pictures. They were taken by the manager and co-owner of the Hotel Hernán Cortés, so don't be confused by the web address. They are spectacular if you look at them full screen.

By the way, I recommend Hotel Hernán Cortés to any of our American members who visit Asturias and will be spending time in Gijón. It has a great central location, reasonable rates, good parking a short distance away, and a very attentive staff. We stayed there in October of 1999 and were very pleased with the hotel. English speaking members should not hesitate to call the hotel directly to make reservations. There were several staff members who were fluent in English. The hotel is within walking distance of everything.
