A friend just told me that the records of the Iquisition have been used as the basis for a cookbook. See http://www.ku.edu/~kantext/espora-l/200 ... 00002.html for a review. I haven't read the book yet, but intend to get it. It should prove interesting.

David M. Gitlitz and Linda Kay Davidson. A Drizzle of Honey:
The Lives and Recipes of Spain's Secret Jews
. New York: St.
Martin's Press, 1999. Pp. 352. $29.95. ISBN 0312198604.

Does anyone else know of other interesting but oddball books about Spain that seem worth reading?

Hey Bob, did you ever get that book? does it have recipes or is it more like the culinary history of Jewish cooking in Spain? What sections of Spain does it cover? any other info you might have would be appreciated.
