Some of you may already be familiar with it, but for those who are not, there is a wonderful museum and archives in Colombres, called "Archivo de Indianos", housed in an art-nouveau mansion - Quinta Guadalupe - built by Iñigo Noriega at the turn of the past century for the sole purpose of lodging Mexico's president Porfirio Díaz, ousted from power during the Mexican Revolution by Pancho Villa, Emiliano Zapata, et al.

This museum houses the most important collection of documents and photographs related to Asturian emigration to the Americas that can be found anywhere. Needless to say, it is also one of the most visited museums in this region.

Now the Centro Asturiano de Tampa and the University of Southern Florida have contributed a very significant amount of documentation that was in their possession and that I, for one, can't wait to see.
