My husband's GG grandfather is listed in the census as being born in Asturias. No other information other than he went through Mexico to come into the US.
Any help is appreciated

Do you have any information concerning approximate dates of entry into the US, how he came to the US (railroad, ship, on foot, etc.)? In general the more information you can provide, the more others can help you.

A date of birth, even approximate, would be helpful, too, as would any other information you know about his family members (siblings, parents, children).
